Set Up Your RWU Web Hosting

Create your free rwu.me hosting account before we start publishing websites in class.

In this course, you’ll publish the websites you build to your own web space at rwu.me. RWU provides this hosting at no cost to students in DSGN 300.

You need to set up your account before we begin publishing websites in class.

Create Your Account

  1. Go to rwu.me.
  2. Create an account using your RWU information.
  3. Select/order an RWU web-hosting account.
  4. Complete the request and submit it for approval.

The rwu.me system uses terms such as order, purchase, and billing because it’s built on commercial web-hosting software. You will not be charged for your DSGN 300 hosting account.

After you submit your request, Professor Kowalski or another Graphic Design faculty member will approve the account.

You do not need to configure anything else yet.

Before Our Next Class

Make sure you have:

  • created your rwu.me account
  • requested your free web hosting
  • submitted the request for approval

We’ll configure the hosting account and publish your first web page together in class.
