Working Principles
This course treats code as a workshop material. Some students will become more technical than others. Everyone is expected to work carefully, ask better questions over time, and make design decisions visible in the finished page.
Course Description Draft
DSGN 300 asks students to translate problem-solving design skills to the user interface of websites. Students begin with visual mockups and wireframes in Figma, then move into responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks where appropriate.
Emphasis is placed on typography, usability, accessibility, site architecture, and the relationship between visual design decisions and working web pages.
